There are several friendly buildings that must be destroyed during the campaign. To destroy a friendly building you have to use Forced Fire; push the F key as you fire to activate it. In my campaigns there are always chances that enemy mechs are stored in hangars. You can salvage those mechs and use them. To do this you have to destroy the hangar itself first. After that you need a line of sight from your unit to the mech burried under the rubble. You can use a copter and place it above the destroyed hangar or a mech with jump jets and jump over the building. For the time period that a line of sight is established you can call in the salvage craft to salvage the mech. It needs a little practice to get this accomplished but then it is very helpful. Once the mech is salvaged and has a friendly pilot deployed you need to use the mech's jump jets to jump out of the destroyed structure. WARNING: Very high hardware requirements for fluid gaming.
